Welcome to the New Soul Support Blog

In this day and age everyone is blogging about this, that and the other; people are constantly updating their "followers" on Twitter and Facebook. I too frequently do just that and what I found is that folks were encouraged by my short two to three liners that I updated every now and then throughout the day. So I thought, why not devote some serious time to posting a little more details on a regular basis and maybe, just maybe someone's day might be brightened by it. So here it is~ Soul Support.

You may be saying "Why Soul Support?" Well, I am the founder of a small consulting firm and through my company we support all kinds of people and projects through executive level administrative services, grant writing, organizational development and training. Essentially, my vocation is to support people through the various gifts and talents I have been blessed with. I don't really feel a sense of purpose if I am not helping someone reach their dreams. Soul Support is essentially the same way I feel about my company and vocation in the personal sense though. I have found that people are hurting, people are sad, people are filled with so many different types of emotions, but they just don't have a place to express themselves or find comfort for their hurts. My hope is that this will become that type of place.

I intend to post what I'm reading, what I'm doing, to encourage my own soul as I try to live out my life in this world. I've often said that this world is such an artificial kind of place that it is hard for folks who have kindred spirits like mine to really find themselves. I'm the kind of person who loves hard, who honestly believes that there's good in everyone and that MOST people really want the best for others. The challenge to realizing that however comes when we fail to intentionally be present for one another; when we focus more on placing blame and/or holding onto unforgiveness, or just any number of selfish human responses to life. So I've opened up this little place in cyberspace called Soul Support. Hoping that you may find some solace in what is here.

Godly regards,
Rev. Shonda
